Karlsruhe has a broad international cultural programme for visitors and residents alike. Many museums in Karlsruhe offer guided tours in foreign languages, and the city runs numerous international festivals, series of events and opportunities to meet other cultures.

International festivals and series of events
Karlsruhe has a range of festivals and series of events with an international orientation, e.g. the Days of European Culture, the Women's Perspectives Festival, Folkloria, the International Communication Festival and the French Week.

Karlsruhe is twinned with Halle, Nancy, Nottingham, Krasnodar and Timişoara.
International Community Centre (IBZ)
The International Community Centre has a wide-ranging programme for foreign residents in Karlsruhe. As well as language course, it offers above all opportunities for people to enjoy their own cultures, to get to know other cultures and to enter into dialogue with other cultures.
Centre Culturel Franco-Allemand
The Centre Culturel Franco-Allemand is a foundation that focuses on German-French dialogue, offering a varied and sophisticated cultural programme that ranges from exhibitions through readings, films and drama to concerts and lectures. As well as providing language courses and a media library, the centre has a wide range of French media.
Films in their original languages at the Schauburg and Kinemathek cinemas
A number of Karlsruhe cinemas, especially Schauburg and Kinemathek, regularly show films in their original languages.

Guided tours in various foreign languages at the Baden State Museum
Exhibitions of collections and special exhibitions are frequently accompanied by public guided tours in a variety of foreign languages. Tours are available in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Russian and Dutch. The tours are aimed both at native speakers and at language learners ("German at the Museum").
Guided tours for groups and private individuals in several languages at the ZKM
The ZKM offers guided tours for groups and private individuals in several languages. Guided tours are conducted for institutions, companies, school classes and private groups, providing an overview of the development and programmes of the ZKM, a presentation of the general setup and thematic focus of the exhibitions and selected works.
Guided tours of the Staatliche Kunsthalle in French and Spanish
Matching the special focus on French art, a guided tour is provided in French at two-month intervals on Saturday afternoons. In addition, a tour is also offered in Spanish every two months.

The Baden Art Society also offers guided tours in English.
